Today in Abuja, we received in audience, a Nigerian amazon, an international life coach, Mrs. Ebi Alaibe Elezianya, the Founder of iTeach Africa Initiatives and her team for a partnership meeting in preparation for the Ugwumba National Women’s Conference.
Recall that last week during the 3 days Ugwumba International Women’s Conference, which was organized to mark the 2021 International Women’s Day, our President, Ugwumba Uche Nwosu declared that such a conference should be organized physically, to enable more women participate and acquire leadership skills they need to better their lives and the Nigerian society.
As promise keepers, we kickstarted preparations for the national event with the visit of the Purpose Discovery expert, Ebi Elezianya in our Head Office in Abuja, today.
Addressing the august visitors, our President, Ugwumba Uche Nwosu said that Nigeria is blessed with abundant human resources, including women and youths but that the only missing link is a deficiency in mentorship. He said that for lack of mentors, most young people are allowed to wallow in their ignorance since they have no one to run to for guidance.
He informed that this gap in mentoring was what led to the establishment of the Center in 2018 and that within these few years, the center has made remarkable changes in the lives of over 5,000 Nigerian youths who have participated in our various programs, such as the Ugwumba Enterprise Academy; Ugwumba Enterprise Challenge; Ugwumba Women Academy; The Leadership Show; etc.
In her response, Ebi Elezianya showered encomiums on the leadership of the Center for the impacts it has made so far in the lives of Nigerians, within a short time it was established. She thanked the President for remembering Nigerian women, who she said need empowerment, urgently as a result of the significant roles they play in their families and in the society.
She used the opportunity to pledge the unflinching support of her group to the Ugwumba Leadership Center and her partners. She said that the National Women’s Conference shall be a special gift from the Ugwumba Leadership Center to Nigeria, as several women, both professionals and those in business shall be empowered during and after the event.
Speaking earlier, Remy Chukwunyere, the Executive Director of the Center thanked Ebi Elezianya for being one of our most active partners and resource persons since 2019. He commended her passion and commitment for a new generation in the country, which earned her a place in the Roll Call of the Center’s “Rebrand Nigeria Ambassadors.”
Ladies and gentlemen, we urge you to keep a date with us on this platform for regular updates on the forthcoming Ugwumba National Women’s Conference scheduled to hold in Abuja, this May.
God bless Nigeria! God bless Nigerian Women!!
