On the Leadership Show next week, we shall be discussing the issue of substance abuse among young people, which has become a critical issue for stakeholders in youth development across the country.
Every now and then, we hear of young people who have lost their minds from taking different kinds of drugs and substances that affect their mental health and development.
Therefore, as a leadership development center with a focus on young people and women, we have decided to bring this issue at the front burner of development discourse. So, this week, we have invited an Emotional Intelligence and Anger Management Expert, Sam Babatunde Obafemi to help us lit up this conversation.
Our guest is the President of Samuel Obafemi Behavioral Change Academy (SOBCA), Africa’s foremost academy for Anger Management, Emotional Intelligence, The Human Response Code and solution providers for Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) and Positive Psychiatry. Mr. Sam Obafemi is an unconventional thinker, who likens himself to an Octopus whose primary preoccupation is to solve problems, and in fact, where possible, help people avoid them. He is a Computer Scientist turned Behavioral Change Therapist and small business developer.
He is a UK certified Life Coach, trained in Positive Psychiatry from Sydney University, Australia, first Nigerian Anger Management Therapist from Century Anger Management, USA. He’s a Master NLP Practitioner and an Emotional Intelligence Expert.
He is also the Chief Executive of a business innovation company called the “Business Study Group” as well as the CEO of Imperial Lounge Nigeria and Co-Founder of the “Diary of a Coach” (DOAC) Online Community where empowering thoughts about life are shared.
