Ugwumba Leadership Center holds her 2026 Council Meeting

Today, The Ugwumba General Council successfully held the first meeting for the year 2026, bringing together Board of Trustees and the International Advisory Council members in a spirit of unity, vision, and renewed commitment to the mission of the Centre. The meeting focused on strengthening our strategic direction and expanding our impact both locally and globally.

A major resolution of the Council was the pursuit of global visibility. Members unanimously agreed that it is time to amplify the Centre’s voice and showcase its achievements on the international stage. The Council emphasized the need to position the Centre as a global brand proudly “Made in Nigeria, by Nigerians, for the world.” This vision reflects our confidence in homegrown solutions, indigenous innovation, and the capacity of Nigerians to influence global development conversations.

Furthermore, the Council resolved to go bigger and bolder in advancing youth and women empowerment initiatives, with a stronger focus on sustainable economic development. This includes expanding skills acquisition programs, leadership development platforms, enterprise support systems, and strategic partnerships that will create measurable impact. The goal is not just empowerment in theory, but real opportunities that translate into jobs, entrepreneurship, financial independence, and long-term growth.

The meeting concluded with a renewed sense of purpose and a collective commitment to deliver transformative programs that will strengthen communities, inspire the next generation, and position the Centre as a leading force for development in Africa and beyond.
