#UEC2020: Celebrating the 6th – 10th prize winners

As we earlier announced during preparations to the grand finale of the 2020 Ugwumba Enterprise Challenge, our President graciously extended prizes to all the top 20 participants, who were invited to the finals in Abuja.

Therefore, having showcased our top 5 star prize winners previously, we are delighted today, to showcase the 6th to 10th prize winners as follows:

a)Eneh Mercy, Founder and CEO, The Female Media Network, an InfoTech Startup that trains women on digital skills to enable them compete favorably with the digital world.

b)Seyi Babalola, Founder and CEO of Agriternet, an Agritech startup that seeks to enable access to manure for low income farmers and providing as an incentive, affordable sources of protein, in organically produced eggs and fresh meat.

c)Tochukwu Chukwure, Founder and CEO of Anywhere, an EduTech and research platform that allows researchers, individuals, students and tourists to visit, explore and have a 360° walk through experience of their favorite locations with the aim of acquiring knowledge or pleasure using virtual technology.

d)Emmanuel Chisom Eze, CEO of Creation Energy, an agro-based renewable energy solutions company that provides affordable and sustainable electricity to unserved (off-grid) energy markets in Nigeria and Africa. Their energy kit converts cassava waste water to electricity to serve the above mentioned market.

e)John Godswill, CEO of Rawmac, a Waste Recycling Startup that turns plastic wastes into eco-beam to serve as a suitable replacement for wood.

As promised, the 6th to 10th place business ideas got consolation prizes of one hundred thousand naira (N100,000) each from the Ugwumba Leadership Center.

It is remarkable to point out here that the Founder and CEO of the 6th place business idea, Mercy Eneh, CEO of The Female Media Network got a special prize of another one hundred thousand naira (N100,000) from His Excellency, Otunba Adeniyi Adebayo, the Hon. Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment.

In the next edition, we shall release the remaining 11th to 20th place winners of the 2020 Ugwumba Enterprise Challenge.

Once again, we thank all the Judges, our Partners and Resource Persons for being part of the success stories of this year’s edition, nicknamed the #UECLockDownEdition.
