The President of the Ugwumba Center for Leadership Development in Africa, Mr. Uche Nwosu has commended Her Excellency, Hajiya Aisha Babangida for supporting women entrepreneurs in Africa through her Women Enterprise Alliance initiative.
He said this recently in Abuja while speaking to newsmen at the 3rd WenA Conference with the theme: “SME Scalability In Intra-Regional Trade” organized by the Women Enterprise Alliance.
According to Mr. Uche Nwosu, “as the founder of the Women Enterprise Alliance, Hajiya Aisha Babangida is helping African women build strong and lasting foundations for their businesses, thereby contributing to the socio-economic development of the African continent.
Her vision for establishing the Women Enterprise Alliance coincides with that of our “Ugwumba Women Academy”, which was launched in February, 2021 and is today supporting over 5,000 women entrepreneurs from across the country with both Regional and State structures already in place.”
He concluded by emphasizing that such private initiatives are needed to support the Government drive the economy of our country as well as pull our people out of poverty.
