Today in Abuja, I had the honor of representing my President, His Excellency, Ugwumba Uche Nwosu, at the 2024 International Earth Day event organized by Ready to Lead Africa and the Embassy of Brazil in Nigeria.
Speaking on the theme “Youth As Protectors of the Earth: The Call for Leadership,” I informed the participants that the Ugwumba Leadership Center is a prominent organization in the private sector investing significantly in mitigating climate change in Nigeria. I took this opportunity to invite climate change advocates and entrepreneurs to prepare for the 2024 Ugwumba Enterprise Challenge, a vital stepping stone for many startup founders and entrepreneurs in Nigeria. Addressing the students from various schools in attendance, I encouraged them to apply for the second edition of the African Students Leadership Academy. Leadership at all levels is essential if we aim to succeed in our mission to protect the environment. I urge everyone to make a pledge TODAY to protect the environment. You do not need to be the President or the Governor of your state to make a difference.
