History was made a few days ago in Abuja as the Princeton Leadership Forum announced the Ugwumba Center for Leadership Development in Africa as the winner of its Best NGO Award for Year 2022.
According to the President of the Foundation, Dr. Prince Chibuike Echem, “the Ugwumba Leadership Center has shown exemplary leadership towards the empowerment and support of emerging leaders in Nigeria through its leadership and enterprise development programs.”
Receiving the award on behalf of our President, His Excellency, Ugwumba Uche Nwosu, our Executive Director, Mr. Remy Chukwunyere said the honour is an evidence of the impact the Center is making in the lives of young entrepreneurs and innovators in Nigerian since 2018. According to him, “through our signature program, the Ugwumba Enterprise Challenge, we have directly impacted on the lives of over 5,000 Nigerian youths and have indirectly impacted on the lives of over 20,000 youths and women, who daily benefit from our programs.”
Reacting to the award, our President, His Excellency, Ugwumba Uche Nwosu said, “the reward for hard work is a call for more work, therefore, I and my team shall do more until we achieve our objectives of taking millions of youths and women out of the streets of Nigeria.”
The Management of the Center hereby appreciates the leadership of the Princeton Leadership Forum for this recognition and award!
To God be the glory!
