Ugwumba Foundation at the 2024 OECD Conference

This year, the Ugwumba Center for Leadership Development in Africa made its debut appearance at the Global Anti-Corruption and Integrity Forum organized by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) in France.

Participating in such a high-level conference on anti-corruption is a great privilege and recognition of our contributions to leadership development in Africa. The major objectives of the OECD’s anti-corruption and integrity (ACI) work are to support trustworthy institutions and foster open, efficient, and inclusive markets.

The OECD helps countries, both member and non-member states, to benefit from and address the challenges of a global economy by promoting economic growth, free markets, and efficient use of resources. For more than 50 years, the OECD has been a reliable source of evidence-based policy analysis and economic data.

We are thrilled that our President, His Excellency Ugwumba Uche Nwosu, was invited to join other world leaders, Prime Ministers of various countries, and representatives from international organizations at this event. The forum also marked the 25th anniversary of the Anti-Bribery Convention, a cornerstone in the global fight against corruption and a catalyst for policy change. Looking ahead, the second edition of our African Students Leadership Academy, scheduled from May to June 2024, is one of our key programs designed to cultivate a new generation of leaders for Africa.
