History was made on Monday, December 07, 2020 at the Ugwumba Enterprise Challenge finals in Abuja, when one Ruth Ede, CEO of Scratop was declared the 3rd prize winner.
Little did the organizers know that such a fantastic Agrictech project was founded by an Imo indigene from Awarra Community in Ohaji/Egbema LGA of Imo state.
The Founder and CEO of Scratop, Ruth Ede is a final year student of Micheal Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike in Abia State. Scratop is a for-profit social enterprise that uses bio-waste to produce 100% organic, eco-friendly, and sustainable fertilizer through our proprietary formula.
According to Ruth… “we are promoting arable land, waste monetization and increased food production through our waste-agro synergy.”
