The Rotary Club of Owerri, Imo State this on Saturday, 22 July, decorated His Excellency, Ugwumba Uche Nwosu with her “Service Above Self Award” in recognition of his selfless services to humanity.
As the Founder and President of the Ugwumba Center for Leadership Development in Africa, His Excellency, Ugwumba Uche Nwosu has impacted on the lives of over 20,000 young people and women in Africa, directly and indirectly.
Through the annual Ugwumba Enterprise Challenge, the center has supported the birth of over 5,000 SMEs in Nigeria who have created jobs for thousands of Nigerians and are now contributing to the overall GDP of our country.
The impacts of these metrics in reducing insecurity, unemployment rate and other vices across the country are quite enormous.
This recognition from the Rotary Club, Owerri is another testimony of the impacts we are making across the continent.
