UCLDA adopts blind man, gifts him new laptop and places him on salary…

Today, in Abuja, the President of the Ugwumba Leadership Center, Mr. Uche Nwosu donated a brand new laptop to one Mr. Onyeocha Paschal, a blind young man, who is a graduate of French from the Imo State University, Owerri.

According to Ugwumba Uche Nwosu, “I saw a post on Facebook made by the young man. In that post, he said, the only thing that would make him happy on his 30th birthday would be a gift of a laptop, which he needed urgently to build a career in writing. As usual, I was moved by that passionate appeal and for the fact that he is a graduate. So, I decided to be the angel sent by God to answer his prayers.

So, what we are experiencing today is God’s answer to Paschal’s prayers. I am so happy that he did not drop out of school because of his disability. In addition to the gift of the laptop, the management of the Ugwumba Center for Leadership Development in Africa has equally decided to place him on a monthly allowance for his upkeep, until we are able to secure a good job for him. We want to use this opportunity to thank everyone who saw him through school, as according to him, he lost his parents when he was still growing up.”

Responding, Paschal Onyeocha, who is from Avuvu Community in Ikeduru LGA of Imo State thanked Ugwumba Uche Nwosu for his magnanimity and prayed God to grant him all his heart desires. He narrated his ordeal while in the University and how he managed to survive and today, his dreams of becoming a University graduate had come to pass.

According to him, “I was surprised when I got a call and the person introduced himself as Ugwumba Uche Nwosu. I thought the person was impersonating Ugwumba until when he finally invited me to come today. I am so grateful that God has answered my prayers through you, Sir.”

The Executive Director of the Center, Remy Chukwunyere and his staff thereafter celebrated Mr. Paschal on his 30th birthday and wished him God’s abundant blessings.

Mr. Paschal was accompanied to the Head office of the Ugwumba Leadership Center by his friends: Onyeka Chima, Paddy Obi and Ezinne Precious.

TO GOD BE ALL THE GLORY!
