Ngas People Recognise Our President With Traditional Title

Yesterday in Jos, Plateau State, Nigeria, the people of NGAS conferred on our President, His Excellency, Ugwumba Uche Nwosu with the traditional title: Shar Khi Yil NGAS (meaning, “Friend of NGAS Nation”).

In Nigeria, the NGAS people are an indigenous tribe in Plateau State and are the largest ethnic group in the Jos highlands. They are peace-loving people and are primarily found in Pankshin and Kanke LGAs of Plateau State.

In case, you are not aware, Former President of Nigeria, General Yakubu Gowon (GCFR) is from NGAS tribe.

According to the NGAS Development Association, the conferment on our President was in recognition of his friendly dispositions to the NGAS people, the people of Nigeria and humanity in general.

At the Ugwumba Leadership Center, we promote peaceful co-existence among the various religious and ethnic groups in Nigeria through our #leadership and #entrepreneurship programs for youths and women in Nigeria.

To God be the glory!!
