Yesterday in Abuja, the former President of Nigeria, His Excellency, President Goodluck Jonathan commended Ugwumba Uche Nwosu, the President of the Ugwumba Leadership Center for contributing immensely to youth development in the country through the activities of the Center.
He reiterated on the importance of providing #mentorship to the youths and advised the center to do more in the areas of encouraging the youths to embrace creativity and innovation in their daily endeavors.
The former President said this during a condolence visit on him by the Management of the Ugwumba Center for Leadership Development in Africa. You may recall that a few weeks ago, the former Nigerian leader lost his only Uncle, Mr. Omieworio Afeni, who was his mother’s younger brother at the age of 87.

Earlier in his speech, our President, Ugwumba Uche Nwosu said the Center came to sympathize with him and his family and to remind them not to mourn like those who do not have hope, as “it is God that gives life and takes it back whenever it pleases him.” He encouraged the former President to be consoled by the fact that his uncle lived to see him become the number one citizen of this country, a feat that millions of families in Nigeria will never achieve.
He also used the opportunity to introduce the programs and activities of the Center to His Excellency, President Goodluck Jonathan, who was amazed by the level of impacts we have made, so far.
We pray that the good Lord would grant the soul of the departed eternal rest in His bosom in Jesus name!
