#UEC2024: Joseph Orya emerges overall winner

Today in Abuja, Mr. Joseph Orya, CEO of Peddle Innovation Lab emerged the overall winner at the grand finale of the 2024 Ugwumba Enterprise Challenge.

Peddle Innovation Lab is a social enterprise addressing the need for accessible quality education and digital skills in marginalized communities, particularly impacting refugee girls, women, and young individuals in rural areas.

He won our top star prize of two million naira in a very stiff competition entered by over 1,200 young entrepreneurs across the country.

Miss Blessing Ebere Olivia, CEO of Eco-harvest and Oniya Olaiya, CEO of Tag Along also went home with our cheques of one million naira (N1million) each, for emerging the 2nd and 3rd positions.

We are grateful to the Hon. Deputy Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu (CON); the Inspector General of Police, represented by his AIG in charge of Zone 7 Headquarters, Abuja, Mr. Benneth Igweh and Hon. Frank Nweke Jnr, former Nigerian Minister for Information and Communications for honouring us at the event today.
