#IWD2022: Ugwumba Women’s Conference loading…

The month of March every year is set aside by the United Nations for the celebration of the achievements of women, globally. The high point of these celebrations is the annual International Women’s Day event, which takes place on the 8th of March with a theme centered on equality for women and their impacts in the society.

In support of the global event annually, the Ugwumba Leadership Center holds the Ugwumba International Women’s Conference, which brings together members of the Ugwumba Women Academy Network from around the world to celebrate their various contributions to a better society and to advocate for equal opportunities for the women.

This year, in line with the global theme, #BreakTheBias, the Ugwumba Women’s Conference is divided into two sessions, each featuring women from different parts of the world, who have broken the bias in their workplaces, careers and businesses. Some of these women include, our Vice President, Lolo Uloma Nwosu; Rhoda Harriet Khataba of Her Story Matters (UK); Laura Armstrong of Leadership with Laura (Canada); Harpreet Ghumman, US based international Leadership Coach; Ebi Elezianya, a powerful purpose discovery coach and founder of iTeach Africa; Temi Alade-Mustapha, Founder of the Money Mathematicians Network; Bar. Tine-Anona Ifunanya, business coach and CEO of Chow Foods Nigeria and a host of others.

May we therefore, use this opportunity to celebrate in advance the leadership of the Ugwumba Women Network led by Rtn. Bibby Kalakala (National Coordinator) and Mrs. Eleojo Yusuf (Deputy National Coordinator) and all #UgwumbaWomen across the country for their doggedness and resilience to succeed in life.
