UCLDA President calls for urgent National Reconciliation in Nigeria

The President of the Ugwumba Leadership Center, Mr. Uche Nwosu has called on the Government to convene a National Conference to initiate the process of reconciliation across the country without any further delay.

He made this call while addressing newsmen on the occasion of Eid Mubarak, being observed by Islamic faithful around the world.

Hear him, “I congratulate all Muslims in Nigeria on the successful conclusion of this year’s Ramadan fasting. I am positive that our prayers for Nigeria throughout the month of #Ramadan shall bring an end to conflicts and all forms of violent crimes across the country.

I am really concerned about the wanton destruction of lives and properties occasioned by the rising insecurity in Nigeria, in the Southeast and in my dear Imo State. We must bear in mind that; no one would be safe in a state of anarchy, hence, the need for all of us to work towards the restoration of peace in Nigeria.

It is my earnest heart desire that this celebration shall bring with it answers to our prayers for peace and progress, variously offered during the Ramadan fasting, so that our people can once again experience peace in their lives and businesses.”

Mr. Uche Nwosu equally used the opportunity of this Eid Mubarak to restate his continued call for all the leaders in Nigeria to unite and support President Muhammadu Buhari in his efforts to quell the rising spate of insecurity across the country and declared his support for a National Confab which has become necessary for the process of reconciliation among the various ethnic nationalities.

He concluded by sending his heartfelt condolences to the families of security officials and innocent citizens who lost their lives during this period of unrest and prayed for their souls to find rest in the Lord.
