#IWD2021: Ugwumba Leadership Center launches its annual International Women’s Conference.

The Management of the Ugwumba Leadership Center today officially launched its International Women’s Conference, to be organized annually in honour and support of women empowerment around the world.

Declaring the event open, the Vice President of the Center, Mrs. Uloma Nwosu celebrated women around the world on behalf of the Center. She used the opportunity to appreciate all the women who have signed up for the Ugwumba Women Academy and thereafter promised that they will not be disappointed for having faith in our capacity to empower them.

Also speaking, the Chairman, International Advisory Council of the Center, Mr. Rajan Nazran informed the women from across Africa that the Ugwumba Leadership Center and its international partners shall run a number of programs that will expose them to global opportunities that will empower them financially.

In his opening remarks, the Executive Director of the Center, Remy Chukwunyere earlier informed that the empowerment of women from Africa is a key component of the mission and vision of the center, right from the beginning.

Mr. Chukwunyere said that the center has empowered over 5,000 youths (male and female) since inception in 2018 and has intentionally decided to do more for women across the continent, since it is said that “when you empower a woman, you have empowered a community”.

Speaking on the theme of the conference, “Becoming A Woman of Influence”, the Keynote Speaker, Mrs. Patience Ogunbona, CEO of ATI Coaching UK said that women can only become influential when they first believe in themselves and in their capacities to make change in the society. She also said that there is need for personal development wherever they are deficient.

It was really a great and awesome way to celebrate our women!

Ladies and gentlemen, the Ugwumba International Women’s Conference continues tomorrow with Heidi Bishop Maduhu, CEO, LeadershipLaire UK and Ebi Alaibe Elizianya, Founder, iTeach Africa Initiative speaking on “The Secret of Adversity Quotient” and “Woman: What is Your Purpose?” respectively.
