#IWD2021: Mrs. Uloma Nwosu to declare the Ugwumba Women’s Conference open.

We are excited to announce that the Vice President of the Ugwumba Center for Leadership Development in Africa, Mrs Uloma Nwosu shall declare the 2021 Ugwumba International Women’s Conference open on Monday, March 08, 2021 by 2pm WAT as the Special Guest of Honour.

Mrs Uloma Nwosu is a dynamic and versatile entrepreneur with a focus on achieving excellence and ground-breaking business strategies expedient for Africa’s growth. She persevered from a young age with a basic start and today has created an array of business ventures, including major city supermarkets and educational institutions.

She is motivated by a clear understanding of the abundant opportunities in Africa as a result of the need to reduce pervasive poverty and fundamental challenges faced by the continent, especially among the youths and the women.

Between 2017 and 2019, she served as the Director General of the Rochas Foundation, a non-governmental, non-profit and non-political organization, established with a firm commitment to serve humanity and build a credible future for Africa by ensuring every less privileged child has access to comprehensive and qualitative education.

As an avid contributor to social development, her work at the Rochas Foundation was of paramount importance to her and further encouraged her to establish the Elfreeda Foundation in 2017, in order to provide shelter and care for homeless women and children and to rebuild their lives as they transition back into society. According to her, “we established the Elfreeda Foundation because, we strongly believe that every human being deserves access to the basic needs of life, such as food, clothing and shelter.”

She is also the CEO of House Of Freeda, a state-of-the-art shopping mall that showcases a select mix of retailers, the best local and international brands, restaurants and live entertainment in Owerri and Abuja, the FCT.

Mrs. Uloma Nwosu has a Bachelors in Business Management from the University of Abuja, an Associate Degree in Business Management from Everest College, USA and a Human Resources Management license from the University of Legon, Ghana.
