HRM Othman Bilyaminu Usman, the Emir of Dass, Bauchi State has urged Nigerian youths to embrace peace and unity as the only ways forward to sustainable development in Nigeria.
The Emir of Dass, who is also the Chairman, Board of Trustees of the Ugwumba Center for Leadership Development in Africa made this declaration while in Abuja recently for the 2020 edition of the Ugwumba Enterprise Challenge.
According to him, “as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Ugwumba Leadership Center, we shall continue to support Nigerian youths who have ideas that we can transform into business ventures and social enterprises. Engaging in violent activities should be a thing of the past as no one has ever achieved anything good by applying for violence.”
He further said that the programs of the center are non-religious, non-tribal and non-political as they are designed to raise a new generation of young leaders and entrepreneurs from the African continent.
Finally, he enjoined youths to participate in all the ongoing empowerment programs of the Government, such as the N-Power, Survival Funds, Youth Innovation Fund, etc to better their lives.
