Today in his office in Abuja, His Excellency, Otunba Adeniyi Adebayo, the Hon. Minister for Industry, Trade and Investments declared the intention of his Ministry to partner with the Ugwumba Center for Leadership Development in Africa.
The Hon. Minister made the announcement this morning while meeting with the Management of the Center and the winners of the 2020 Ugwumba Enterprise Challenge.
He again commended Ugwumba Uche Nwosu, the Founder and President of the Ugwumba Leadership Center for the laudable projects of the center, which are in line with the mandate of his ministry.
He said, “as a private inititaive supporting the mandate of the Federal Government through my ministry, be rest assured that we are going to partner with your Center, so that more jobs can be created for Nigerian youths through enterprise development.”
While addressing the Hon. Minister, the President of the Center, Ugwumba Uche Nwosu expressed his profound gratitude to the Minister for his physical presence at the grand finale of the Ugwumba Enterprise Challenge, despite his tight schedules. He said that gesture is a proof of his preparedness and commitment to improve the economy of the nation through trade and industrial revolutions.
Earlier during his introductory speech, Mr. Remy Chukwunyere, the Executive Director of the Ugwumba Leadership Center observed that the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investments seems to be the most proactive ministry in the Federation, not just because of the meeting with the Hon. Minister but judging from previous engagements with the Ministry and in comparison with other MDAs.
The interaction ended with a gift presentation from the star prize award winner, Bilkisu Garba, CEO of The Upcycle Architect and the Hon. Minister redeeming his cash prize to the 6th prize award winner, Mercy Eneh, CEO of The Female Media Network.
